Week 4 has been a hard week because we have three assessments in this week. I have perceived that I come to use time to prepare to my task better than before. Approximately, preparation for writing assessment is most tough for me because of its length, so I had much time to do it. I spent throughout my weekend doing preparation for it. Writing test was at least better than pre-test I took before I think. I had made lough outline of introduction so I could spare time to write bodies and conclusion. In listening assessment, I think it was not so bad. I could listen and take notes more than before. But it was a quit hard to keep to pay attention to the video and sometimes I could not concentrate well. I hope I could have taken good notes for tomorrow’s assessment. Reviewing this week I guess that I should be more motivated. We have a lot things to do in this week so I got tired but I have to keep concentration and plan well what and how I study.
Week 5 includes speaking and reading assessment. I think speaking test is interesting rather than upset because I have seldom chances to learn or practice presentation in Japan. Yesterday we learned about body languages during a presentation, that was also interesting. i perceive it as a good opportunity for output my English. in a pre-test, I found it is needed to improve to speak louder and not to read my paper too much. The draft for my presentation is not so long so I suppose I can do it with less reading then before, and for to do so it is needed to practice more. In the reading assessment, it seems to be necessary to read texts with some skills ; skimming and scanning. My week point is speed of reading so skimming is key in the assessment and farther studies in English. But actuary I also like reading books in English so it is not a hardship so much, therefore I will keep reading books on a daily bases as pastime and training. In this assessment I think to become used to reading texts that have a some degree’s length is significant. So now i am planning to review my notes for reading lesson to prepare and practice to assessment this weekend.
