York Business School recently hosted an A level revision day for the school students from York and nearby areas.
The guest speaker was Ian Marcousé, a business author, editor of Business Review magazine and experienced classroom teacher. He was A Level Business chief examiner for OCR (2 years) then AQA (11 years) and is now a consultant to Edexcel on syllabus development. He founded A-Z Business Training Ltd 20 years ago, to put business theory into practice. It’s still going strong. Ian also works at London University on its Teach First and PGCE programmes.
The students had the opportunity to revise about elasticity of demand, profit, contribution and break even. Furthermore, they also analysed a business case study and tried to master their exam techniques in order to be ready for any challenge.
It was a fantastic day for everyone and we feel proud that the local schools trusted us for the revision of their students.
