Above the doorway of this old building, carved into stone reads ‘Lecture Hall and School’ in heavy lettering, a testament to its historical use.

 

History

Established by 1892, the Central Mission Hall (pictured below), organized charitable events.

 

 

Reaching its peak between around 1910, the Central Mission Hall occupied various locations, including the Lecture Hall and School which is next door. 

 

After the unification of the churches in 1932, the chapel was sold to the Pentecostals.

 

The building, featuring a lecture hall and schoolrooms, was requisitioned for war purposes in 1915 and subsequently dispersed.
