A day in the life of a Geography student

8:00 am: I wake up at my 2nd year house which is just a short 5 minute walk from the university campus. I grab breakfast and head on over ready for my 9am seminar.

9:00 am: My seminar starts, and we discuss the readings we were asked to look at before the session. I also make notes which should help me with my upcoming assignments.

11:00am: After my seminar, I usually have a meeting with one of my lecturers at the on campus café, where we grab a hot drink and discuss my deadlines for the week, I struggle with big deadlines so she helps me break them down into smaller bitesize weekly activities.

12:30pm: I bump into my friends at the library and we decide to head to the Students’ Union to grab a bite to eat and catch up after the weekend.

1:30pm: I have another lecture from 1:30pm – 2:30 pm where we discuss the assignment brief as we are now approaching our last couple of weeks before the Christmas holidays. These sessions are a great chance to get some 1-to-1 help on any particular aspect of the assignment brief you struggle with as well as listening to others.

2:30pm: I have a short 30 minute break between my lectures so I head to the library with my coursemate and relax till 3:00pm.

3:00pm: My seminar lasts from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and is based in one of the library IT suites so it is easy to follow along with the lecturer.

5:00pm: I head home stopping at Tesco to grab some things for my dinner and head home to make it.

7:00pm: I meet with my friends at the pub and we discuss our 3rd year house (exciting!)

9:00pm: I arrive home and do one of my assigned readings for my lecture at 10:30am the next day.

10:00pm: I relax for a few hours whilst watching Netflix and give my mum and my boyfriend at home a call to catch them up about my day.

12:00am: I head to bed around 12:00am.
