Invitation to a social justice research network event with lunch

Dear colleagues,

I’m pleased to announce that there will be a social justice research network event with lunch on 5th July, from 12.00 to 2pm at DG 014.

The event aims to bring researchers from across YSJU together with personnel from local partner organisations, to discover how YSJU social justice research can be applied to help solve local challenges. The event offers an opportunity to exchange ideas and scope out possibilities for new research projects.

The event will run as below:

  • 12.00-12:30 Melissa Benn’s talk about institution and social justice (see attached Melissa’s bio and talk abstract)
  • 12.30-1.30 Lunch and small group discussion
  • 1.30-2.00 Wrap-up

We will hear about Melissa Benn’s talk about institution and social justice and share our research experience and ideas, how they can be applied to private, public & third sector organisations, and examples of successful collaborations. We will also explore the key challenges facing people who live, work and learn in the local area.

I hope to see many of you at the event!

Best wishes,

Kyoungmi
