External Resources for Mental Health and Wellbeing

While YSJ has plenty of resources for Mental Wellbeing and Welfare, there’s also a range of resources that can be accessed externally from YSJ too. Here, we list just a few of them that might be helpful.

  • Mental Health Foundation 

The Mental Health Foundation has been the UK’s leading charity for everyone’s mental health. They are the home of Mental Health Awareness Week. This means that they have a range of tips and guides for mental health.

Student Minds is the UK’s student mental health charity. They work with and alongside students to help improve mental health. See their Find Support Page here:

  • Jonathan’s Voice 

Jonathan’s Voice is a charity set up in 2017 in memory of Jonathan McCartney who tragically took his own life that year. 

They aim to reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues and to empower people to speak up and reach out for help when they need it.
