SR260LH – Children’s Workforce Research Project (Lincolnshire)

Children’s Workforce Research Project (Lincolnshire)

Project Leads: Lee Higgins, Katie Simpson

Student as Researcher: Sam Pheby-McGarvey

This project has three aims:

  • Facilitate a positive change with respect to music making for Children’s Services Practitioners in Lincolnshire;
  • Improve the outcomes for Looked After Children in Lincolnshire through music- making interventions;
  • Evidence the change in Lincolnshire and advocate for similar workforce development strategies in other Children’s Services nationally and internationally.

The principal idea is to positively change the understanding of music and its value as a resource and intervention for Children’s Services Practitioners in Lincolnshire; positive in this instance meaning taking initiative to provide them.

This project is still continuing, although not through the scheme anymore, it is due to conclude in May this year.
