Fairness in Student Group Work: Examining the Effectiveness of a Viva Warning Approach

This project will be investigating student views and experiences of group work in higher education. Drawing on focus groups and questionnaires to see if a newly implemented ‘viva warning approach’ has proved effective in making sure all students contribute fairly to group projects when they form part of their assessments at university.
Julia Hopkins and Luke Clayton will be working on transcription work, analysis of said transcripts using qualitative process and writing draft peer-reviewed research article. In addition, to preparing for conferences, and reading relevant literature around the topic. The outputs of this research project is a minimum of a Journal article and a conference presentation
