The Advantage Team win ERS Silver Award!

The Advantage Team have been recognised by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for our contribution and support to the Armed Forces Community, and as a result we have been awarded with the Silver Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award.

We are delighted to be honoured with this award for raising awareness  of the transition process which is undertaken by a veteran when entering back in to civilian life. The Military Human training programme which is delivered by Nick Wood provides an in-depth understanding of the military culture, and signposts a range of resources and support networks which are available to help support this client group.

As a team we have worked closely with the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (RFCA) for Yorkshire and The Humber, who have taken us through the steps required to achieve a Silver Award.

Presented by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North, South, East and West Yorkshire and Colonel Andy Hadfield, Deputy Commander, 4th Infantry Brigade, in a ceremony at the Guildhall in Hull, the organisations were applauded for their flexible working practises and positive support for Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, veterans and families of service personnel.

Nick Wood, Education and Development Lead for The Advantage Team commented: “We are delighted to receive the ERS Silver Award in recognition of the work we do with the Armed Forces community”.
