If you studied your undergraduate programme at York St John University or founder colleges, did you go on to postgraduate study?

Yes, somewhere else.

Why have you chosen this photo as your YSJ snapshot?

Our little course group all handing in our dissertations (covered in blood, sweat and tears) all at the same time warranted this type of photoshoot. The vibes and the elation of that day will always be fondly remembered.

What are your fondest memories of York St John University?

This group and going to Crumbs so many times that we basically took out shares in the place. Copious amounts of reading, library visits with predominantly procrastinating hours and trips to Dusk are very much missed.

Why did you choose York St John University or founder colleges?

I always loved the city and the Literature. The two married together pretty well.

What have you been doing since completing your studies?

I now teach A Level English and Film Studies – I’m obsessed with my job although it is stressful at times. My students and their personalities are something I’ll always cherish.

What one piece of advice would you give to a current student, or one about to graduate?

If you work in a bar go to the library when you finish a close down – it’s always open and you get a great spot. If you’re graduating: take pics when you return your cap and gown in the campus. It’ll probably be the last time you’re there and will always remind you of where it all began when you look back from the tower of your career.
