Celebrating York St John Couples (and lots of babies!) on Valentine’s Day #YSJUCouple – Part 1
Following on from last year’s Valentine’s Day blog about YSJU Alumni couple Thalis and James, we put a call out on our Facebook page asking if there were any more YSJU Alumni romances. The response was huge and heart-warming to read, so much so, that we’ve made a two part blog. We’re so proud that York St John University was the start of so many romances, marriages and even families. Read on for more on our#YSJUCouples.
Aimee Henderson and Fraser Stanford Henderson met at YSJ in 1999. They got married in the university chapel two years ago and are about to welcome their second child in March.

Emily Clare-Ariss was on the same course as her husband when they met as first years in 1999. They have now been married for nearly 13 years and have two children.

Margaret and Nick Jolly both studied Music (04-07) at YSJU. They married in the YSJ chapel in 2013 before having a little boy in 2015. (Love the photo of their son exploring the chapel at the alumni weekend 2016!)
Donna Smith studied at YSJU from 03-06 and her husband, Tom, from 01-03. They met when Donna was a SU sabbatical officer and Tom was the Marketing Coordinator. Donna then went on to work in Student Services until 2012. They married in 2015 and are expecting their first child in July.
Ria and Rob Hennessy met in their first week of university in 1999. They now have two children and have been married thirteen years.
