Old Johns weekend 2015 – Timetable.
It’s approaching that time of year again, when some of our ‘Old Johns’ return to YSJ, to do battle with current University teams on the sports field, followed up by the inevitable karaoke and alcohol session in the Students’ Union.
Old Johns Weekend is a tradition that has been running at YSJ now for well over 20 years, where Old Johns Sports teams and players reunite, and converge on their old stomping ground to compete against the new breed of York St Johns Sports men and women. This year’s celebration will take place between the 6th and 8th March, with current sports teams, and Old Johns set to compete against each other in Rugby (Union and League), Cricket, Hockey, Football, Netball, Badminton, Basketball and many more, this weekend is already shaping up to one of the best yet.
All of our alumni are welcome to come and join in over the weekend, by spectating any of the various matches taking place, as well as attending the Students’ Union in the evening to join in the post-match celebrations.
