As a recent graduate, and as member of the York St John alumni community, you are the very best testimonial for YSJ. You know the university, the people who work here, and the community spirit and closed-knit environment of which we are all so proud.
Recent graduate Becky Lowe recalls what struck her the most during the early months of first year: ‘how much lecturers invested into their students. We were not seen as “just another number” which my friends experienced at other universities; at York St John lecturers care about you and if you are willing to work hard, they will do whatever they can to ensure you succeed.’
Another graduate, Jenna Houston, is also full of praise ‘for the kindness and acceptance that staff and students show to one another. It’s lovely and really makes you feel a part of the community.’ She also loves that York St John is right in the heart of York: ‘You’re so close to everything and to be surrounded by so much history is very inspiring,’
