Summer Internships!

The new semester isn’t far away, and I’m sure the thought of what you’re going to do during the summer has crossed your mind. You could always spend your summer at home, or you spend your time improving your skills, adding more to your CV and most importantly, earning some money.

Now is the time for summer internships and work experience to start popping up. If you see on you like, there’s no point waiting: now is the time to apply. Summer internships are a great way getting to know what you want to do in the future. Some companies even offer internships to work in different countries, where you can go and teach abroad, or even find an internship in the public or private sector, such as Marketing or Finance. This is a great opportunity as you’ll also be able to slip in that summer holiday without it costing a fortune!

Struggling to find a summer internship, or worried that you can’t afford travel or accommodation in a different city or country? Don’t worry, most universities offer their students summer internships, where they can work in either a university department, or the university will be contact with an outside business or company in your city. Maybe you don’t have enough time to commit to an intensive 4-6 week internship? No problem. Work experience is also another great way to boost your CV. Getting a job in a café or in a retail store will allow you to do all the important stuff like earn some extra cash and learn valuable skills, but you can be flexible with it and fit work alongside your schedule.
