NEWSFLASH: Journalism and Media Week at Leeds Trinity University

 

Are you studying or aiming for a career in journalism or the media? This November, Leeds Trinity University are celebrating 10-years of the Journalism and Media Week with an incredible line-up of speakers and workshops.

This event gives you the opportunity to learn more about the journalism and media industries whilst talking to experts from all areas. Over the course of the week, there will be workshops, Q&A sessions and networking which is a great way of making contacts for a future career in journalism or the media. Some of the visiting speakers who will be talking about their experiences and answering your questions for this year include…

  • creator of the Great British Beak-Off Richard McKerrow,
  • One Show editor Sandy Smith and
  • Reverend Kate Bottley who’s appeared on Gogglebox!

All of the visiting speakers have their own experiences and roles in their jobs meaning you will learn about the many aspects of these industries and what opportunities are open to you.

The Journalism and Media week this year is running 5th-8th November 2018. Everyone is welcome to attend, not just journalism/media students and all of the sessions are free (apart from Kate Bottley’s “Trinity Talk”). To find out more about the event and to book a place on the workshops visit:
