Hey I’m Caitlin…
Last year I graduated from York St John with a first in English Literature and loved the university so much, I decided to stay on to do my MA in Publishing.
The obvious goal after all of this is to pursue a career in publishing. I have been doing an internship with Stairwell Books for the last year or so, which has given me some unique opportunities and insights into the sector. I have been lucky enough to not only edit new and exciting manuscripts, but I have also helped them develop ‘Look Inside’ technology on their website and I helped them with their first ever Stairwell in Scotland festival, as well as much much more.
In my spare time I enjoy knitting, baking, jigsaws and reading of course. I like to read everything and anything with some of my favourite books being The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom. I am so excited to be working on the Where Ideas Grow blog and cannot wait to get started.
