Who doesn’t love a good book review right?
It’s the same as a good seminar. You know what you think of the book and all the things that stood out to you, but hearing other people’s favourite parts, what they thought was significant, what they hated – that’s where things get interesting.
Getting into the nitty-gritty details. That phrasing! That vocab use! Why did the author do that? How did it make you feel? Or just being enraptured with the story. ‘I can’t believe this character said that!’ ‘How could X betray Y like that?’ Or – ‘was that really believable? Pretty poor, in my opinion.’
