Parental support during the learning process...
How can I help?
It's simple; your child presents with existing homework, help them!
By showing your encouragement and enthusiasm towards the topic are you are actually encouraging them to also take an interest. If you say to a child 'oh I can't do that I hated Grammar at school' they are more likely to also start hating Grammar at school... remember, you're the biggest influence on your child's life! - If they don't have homework, but you still want to help...that's easy too.
Parental Involvement
Research has proven that parental involvement during the learning process has a direct effect on grades and mastering key concepts during school. Research suggests you can directly aid your own child's learning process by:
-
Keeping track of school progress and encouraging learning at home
-
Monitoring daily activities
- Working closely together on school based work
