Here is another mini waffle which you could use as a starter activity for the children in your class. Imagine that the children have arrived home and found that a letter has been delivered for them. It is addressed to them and has no return address. They don’t recognise the country that the stamps come from and across the top there is written in big letters – “Open in secret – for your eyes only!”
I would encourage the children to think about; who is the letter from? why is it for your eyes only? what is written in the letter? and finally – what are you going to do?
