Enhancing Studies and Practice of the Social Economy and Social Capital in Higher Education
This is the blog of an international collaboration between universities and social enterprise/economy organisations. We are studying social entrepreneurship; co-operatives; mutuals; fair trade; community enterprises; trading non-profit sector; time banks; etc., in different countries and believe that these should be given a more central place in higher education.
The project is led by York St John University, UK. See our partners in the project here
Please sign up as a friend of the project and receive our newsletter (in English or Spanish or Portuguese). If you would like to collaborate in other ways as an individual or a university, email us via the web page or contact us via Twitter @YSJsocialecon.
We are interested in linking with you:
if you would like to do research and case studies about local social economy organisations;
if you have examples of social enterprise/social economy courses at universities you could share;
if you have examples of social enterprise being supported on campus in practice;
if you would like to make a contribution to the blog;
if you could translate material;
and other ways of collaborating.
It would be on a voluntary basis.
The project is driven by the commitment of all collaborators and supported by the Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Union.
