Hello and welcome to my blog!
I am a primary school instructor, who teaches students through a new teaching style, which takes both the flipped classroom approach and the Knewton approach and merges them together. My role as an instructor is to create online, interactive videos for children ages 7-9. Now, I know what you’re thinking, that it’s boring you sit in front of a screen and video yourself and that’s it. Well, you are mistaken! This blog will give you an insight into how I teach children all over the world, I interact with them on a daily basis through different technological platforms, which I will come onto later on. Or maybe you’re thinking I’m crazy because I want to work with children. BUT I don’t actually work with children, I work with them online so I don’t get ill that much, in fact, I can’t remember the last time I got ill… I guess we’re all healthier as we all interact with virtual reality.
So, now we’ve got the introduction over with I am here to write about obviously look at teaching, but what I do in more detail, how I do it and to give a look back to education when I was a young kid. I am going to look at what books, journal articles and key individuals were/are saying about education and either saying ‘yeah that’s relatable’ or ‘that is so last year’. To do this I am going to look at the three main (important) factors of education; schools, teachers and learners. I will be applying examples where possible through videos and photos.
This blog is for anyone who wants to know what being a teacher in 2033 looks like, seeing as though it is never on the news anymore, thanks to businesses running our education system now. Either way, sit back, get your house robot to make you a cuppa tea and enjoy.
