You can create a new standalone project (saved as a .nvp file) on your computer with software installed or a network drive on student desktop.

On the NVivo Welcome screen, click New Project.  The New Project dialog box opens.

Enter a name for this project, and add a description if you want to.

Click the Browse button and in the Save as type list, make sure NVivo Projects (*.nvp) is selected – you can change the default file name and location if you want to.

Click Save, and OK.
