As the sun blazes over York, it is almost time to begin this year’s Big Summer Read!

Every year the Literature programme hosts the #YSJBigSummerRead, in which all students – prospective, current, alumni – are inviting to join staff across the university in all reading the same book over the summer. 

Everyone is invited to share pictures and thoughts about the book, either via social media (@YSJLit) or email (YSJWritingBlogs@ygmail.com). 

Before we can begin though, we need to choose a book, and that’s where we need your help!

Nominations close on Weds 3 June, and then we’ll release a short list and hold a week of voting to find this year’s #BigSummerRead!
