Everyone listen up! Waterstones are offering you one small snippet of your wildest dreams. Tuesday night. Cancel your plans. It’s about to get crazy.
From 7pm-9pm, show your student card at the door, and enter a world of prices cut by 20%, and a crowd of swarming book nerds eyeing up every spine and bickering about God-knows-what-upcoming-author and how the film version doesn’t even compare to the 400-page paperback…
…And oh, doesn’t that book smell gooooood.
The Waterstones Café will be open until 8pm, providing coffee to keep you going throughout the chaos!
If you’ve had your eye on a book for ages, and someone nabs it off the shelf before you get the chance to buy it, hold off the temptation to fight them for it, as booksellers will be on-hand for you to order it in!
Basically, it will be pure, squished, claustrophobic bliss. I’ll expect to see you there!
Keep an eye on the blog for my coverage on the event.
Plus, if a physical fight breaks out for a book at any point, I’ll be sure to catch it on video and upload it, so stay tuned.
