Today was the last day of the feature/magazine process.
This was hectic as we were made aware of details which were missing. As I looked at the printed designs laid out on the table, there were aspects of mine I wanted to change such as the colour. We tidied sentences up and ensured all were left aligned.
I changed the colour to black and the updated final version had better compositional balance:
On evaluation of my role, I believe in the wider industry I would be able to take on a bigger role or involve myself more but due to the selection process I was assigned a writer, I was a part of almost every decision although did not have a huge influence on decisions made which I would change on reflection. I attended all classes bar 1, gave useful opinions on the final cover and maintained excellent communication and tolerance of the tense atmosphere, disorganization, ambiguity, and noise levels on the submission day. I ensured I maintained a good level of professionalism throughout as others approached the day differently to me using anger, avoidance and distraction it was imperative to stay calm and focused. I sub-edited 5 pieces of work thoroughly offering advice on the use of passive tense where inappropriate, hyphens which were not long enough for house style, spacing, punctuation, word order and adjectives.
