Meet the team – Peter

Hello – my name is Peter Raymond

I am the Head of the BA Primary Education course at York St John, having been a primary teacher and Headteacher for 21 years. I teach across the programme, especially professional studies, Geography and two of the year three specialisms. Professionally I have a keen interest in creativity and how as teachers we teach creatively, how we help children to learn creatively and how we all express our own creativity personally and professionally in all sorts of ways.

I am married (to a primary teacher) and I am a Dad, with one son at university and one who recently graduated and is now working. I am passionate about music, especially the guitar (I have five but that is not enough!) and in enjoy playing these especially in bands.
