“This module will further develop students’ understanding of storytelling, with particular focus towards the construction of fictional narratives for screen and audio based forms. Students will examine and investigate storytelling devices and styles and scriptwriting conventions to inform their own responses to the challenges of communicating stories across different media platforms. The module will engage students in the practical activity of generating, finding, and developing stories for cinema, TV and/or radio. Geared towards nurturing students’ ability in scriptwriting to professional formatting standards, this module will explore means of narrative expression and communication for specified media distribution. The module will also engage with the ethics of representation. Students will develop their skills and abilities in identifying opportunities for exploiting story concepts and in converting their ideas into creative artefacts.” – copied from moodle story to script
