We have over 30 years’ experience of teaching the theory and practice of counselling. We offer programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including an accredited post graduate diploma in professional practice for counselling. The theoretical basis of our courses is humanistic-integrative. Working alongside our professional qualified practitioners, trainers, and active researchers our courses will help build your self-awareness and confidence and equip you with key employability skills such as teamwork, resourcefulness, and critical thinking. Our academics have special research interests in topics including trauma and mental health, coaching, counselling supervision, bereavement, anger management, and the impact of online working.
Our courses support you in developing in-depth knowledge, interpersonal skills, and practical experience needed to follow your chosen carer pathway. Working with us you will develop the professional skills you need to succeed in a wide range of health and social care professions. Our undergraduate courses are designed to provide you with a greater understanding of working in the field of mental health and will support you in developing the necessary skills needed to follow further training opportunities, including our post graduate diploma in professional practice for counselling where you can train to be a professionally qualified BACP counsellor. Our alumni are working in counselling, education, social work, probation, and mental health. You can make a real difference to people’s lives.
