Student as Researchers Scheme – Student Applications now open!

Are you a member of studentĀ at York St John who would like to be paid to take part in a research project with staff?

This academic year we continue to provide opportunities for students to work as research assistants with members of staff across the University, in various aspects of their research. The aim is to develop learners as co-creators, rather than consumers of knowledge; to enhance research skills; and encourage students to consider the option of further study. In return, staff receive highly valued support for their research.

We are currently advertising 21 project vacancies, with flexible hours to suit students existing study commitments. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your CV and make you stand out from the crowd.

Students will be required to produce a reflection report at the end of the project to be submitted to Academic Development Directorate and the relevant School/Department. Students will also be expected to participate in the annual Undergraduate Research Conference which takes place in October each year.
