If you studied your undergraduate programme at York St John University or founder colleges, did you go on to postgraduate study?

No.

Why have you chosen this photo as your YSJ snapshot?

I was so happy to graduate. I was a mature student and I found it really hard.

What are your fondest memories of York St John University?

Some of the tutors I had were so amazing and very supportive. I loved making new friends and be included in the younger students lives.

The trips to Rome and Krakow were amazing.

It is a time in my life that I will never forget.

Why did you choose York St John University or founder colleges?

Because I wasn’t living in I wanted somewhere that I was able to commute to easily.

It was also a small university so felt less daunting.

What have you been doing since completing your studies?

I got a job with my local council and have been growing in my faith. I have also bought my first home and gained to confidence to live life to the fullest.

What one piece of advice would you give to a current student, or one about to graduate?

I may seem really hard at the moment but keep going. Standing in the Minster waiting for your name to be called is an amazing experience albeit a bit chilly in November.

Accept help and ask for it if you are struggling. You’re not on your own.
