Welcome to our brand new blog! The Counselling and Mental Health Centre have been working hard to start creating regular content for you, and we are so excited for you to see it and to hear what you think.

 

If this is your first time browsing our website, or if you haven’t heard of us yet, here’s a very brief introduction to who we are and what we do. We are a community focused counselling and mental health centre. We offer counselling on a sliding scale to ensure that we are as inclusive as possible to the York area, and in response to the pandemic we are now reaching people far beyond. We are able to help with a huge range of issues and difficulties, and we’re so passionate about getting the word out there that help is at hand.

 

We’ve been doing some amazing work within the York community and our brand new blog is the place to hear all about it. We’re going to be posting about all aspects of mental health: mindfulness, seeking support, finding resources, and bringing focus to national awareness days. We’re going to discuss specialist subjects with real people in the community, experts, and our amazing team. Each blog post is going to provide you with insight into real-life issues, tips on how to deal with some of life’s difficulties, and fresh advice on self-care and supporting loved ones.

 

We’ll have contributions and guest interviews from our fabulous team of counsellors and wellbeing practitioners, every single one of whom brings their own individual expertise, experience, and insight.

 

Keep a keen eye on our social media because there’s going to be some great stuff there and lots of opportunity to interact with us and find out what’s going on at CMHC.
