Gemma Holsgrave from York Mediale has been in touch to share an exciting, free creative training opportunity for young artists in the city with York Mediale.
We are looking for 18-30 year olds interested in any art form and a passion for making a difference in your community, to take part in a free two-day course to help you kick start a creative project.
York Mediale and Contact are working together to support young people in Yorkshire to become leaders through the development of their own creative project.
As part of York Mediale, Future Fires is an innovative leadership programme for young people under 30. The course provides the opportunity to explore creative ideas whilst receiving support and guidance from experts.
The course covers:
- Project management
- Devising project ideas
- Creating budgets
- What is a socially engaged project?
- Introduction to fundraising
- Defining outcomes and outputs

Future Fires Short Course is FREE to attend, however places are limited and must be booked in advance.
