Our accredited Developmental Pathway (DevP) is designed to support colleagues with fewer than two years’ experience of teaching and supporting learning within a HE context. Via this pathway, we offer a structured approach to supporting professional recognition, which takes place over 12-18 months. The categories of recognition supported by the DevP are:

  • Associate (D1)
  • Fellow (D2)

For colleagues who have more than two years’ experience of teaching and or supporting learning within a Higher Education context, we offer an Experiential Pathway (ExP) to gaining professional recognition, taking between 3-6 months to complete.

How long does it take?

Depending on the category of recognition you are aiming for combined with your previous experience, the process can take anywhere from 6 to 18 months to complete. This will involve engaging in a minimum number of teaching and teaching-related hours, engaging with formal CPD activities, participating in Teaching and Learning Partnerships, reflecting on your experiences, engaging with the scholarship of learning and teaching, curating your evidence,  attending mandatory sessions and working with a dedicated mentoring for at least 4 hours.

What is the format of the submission?
