Our written option to Fellowship offers a more conventional approach to recognition, much more closely aligned with a direct application via AdvanceHE.

Dialogue still forms a core part of your experience and you will be assigned an experienced mentor with whom you must meet on at least two occasions, before your final submission. They’ll be a critical friend to you, helping to make sure that you are meeting the requirements of the descriptor you are hoping to gain recognition against.

Dialogue and significant conversations (Roxå & Mårtensson, 2009), remain a core aspect of support via the Written Route.

The written requirements

Engagement via this option requires you to provide a reflective account of practice. This is like a contextual statement in which you might outline your background, write about your teaching experience (including any particular highlights) and set out your learning and teaching philosophy. Thereafter, depending on which level of recognition you are going for, you are asked to write some case studies outlining specific examples of work that highlight your effectiveness. Here are the requirements for each level:
