York Pride 2014: video and photos

York St John University was proud to sponsor this year’s York Pride, which took place on Saturday 21 June. The event was very well attended, with the parade roughly doubling in size from the previous year and an estimated 3,500 people attending throughout the day.

York St John University staff, dressed in our new LGBT Staff Network t-shirts, marched in the parade together with students. We had two placards designed by the Faculty of Arts, featuring the LGBT Staff Network logo and the text ‘York St John University’ above and ‘Proud to support York Pride’ below. We also had a stall at the main event at the Knavesmire with various York St John University marketing materials as well as flyers for the LGBT York page.

Here’s a video captured by Darrell Hooper from the Directorate of Enterprise, Employability and Business Engagement.

Finally, a few images from the day.
