Storytelling

“This module aims to introduce students from all Media Production courses to the principles of short form factual storytelling, and the digital tools available to help them tell those stories. All media professionals need to be able to tell a story across different platforms, and whilst mastering the technology is important, what remains key to any storytelling is the content and the form it takes. This module therefore aims to develop your ability to tell a story (in a non-fiction context), and to understand how you can reach different consumers using different tools to tell that story. It therefore supplements the Media Production Skills module running alongside it in Semester 1 which focuses more on craft and technical skills, whilst this module allows you to develop creative story content and give them appropriate form.

You will also explore the ethics and regulation within which media practitioners must operate when sourcing, researching and editing stories, and the implications for the people in them.”- copied from moodle storytelling
