Jo Jones – Deputy Head

There have been many influential role models within my life. One whom particularly resonated with me was a young Deputy Head who joined our school a number of years ago; she has since been promoted to Headteacher at another school. She took me ‘under their wing’ and encouraged me to apply for opportunities within school. She praised me and took time to talk with me about my aspirations. She was kind, caring and an inspiring teacher. I still have her card that she wrote upon leaving. The words within it were inspirational and I will never forget her belief in me.
