Caroline Elbra-Ramsay – Cath Lawson

I have been influenced in so many ways by so many women: families, friends, colleagues and women who I have never actually met. Professionally one woman who stands out is my first headteacher Cath Lawson at Hexthorpe First School. She employed me as a NQT and saw something in me that I didn’t see myself. Along with her strong vision, leadership and uncompromising standards, she encouraged me to take risks and embrace challenges. She had a profound influence on how I saw learning, teaching, leadership and myself and I credit her, more than anyone else, for the path my career has taken.
