Jo Wheldon – June Card

My Aunt, June Card, is 90 years old this year. She is an incredibly intelligent and fiercely independent woman. Her long and successful career began as a teacher in Kenya and ended as General Secretary of the John Lewis Partnership. She continues to travel to far flung places all over the world and still comes camping with us! June is a lifelong learner, recently completing a Masters’ degree in Art History at York University. I think that is a remarkable achievement; it inspires me to try to follow in her footsteps and to never stop educating myself.
