Keither Parker – Lilian Wright

I am fortunate to know many amazing women – friends, family members and colleagues – who have influenced me in various ways during my life!
My grandmother, Lilian Wright, is the woman who has had a lasting impact on me. Lilian was one of 8 children – coming from a poor family she was sent to work ‘in service’ at the age of 12, having very little formal education. She lived her life in very modest circumstances yet her door was always open – offering encouragement, support and a safe haven. Despite navigating many hardships her positive outlook on life, generosity of spirit, love and kindness are a constant reminder to me of the things that are important in life.
