Marie Harrison – Edie

My grandma, Edie, represented the best of a capable, decisive woman with great strength and an amazing work ethic. She could achieve so much in a day by just rolling up her sleeves and getting stuck in. She had seven children and worked hard every day, she had an ascorbic wit which could stop people in their tracks and she knew how to spin a tale over a cup of tea. She had an amazing faith and lived a very long life. She never compromised her standards, always voiced her opinions and she loved people fiercely.
