We talked to Jenny Carpenter about her research, this is what we found out!

What fascinates me the most is that there is never a final answer, simply a new approach to seeing what reality is all about.

– Jenny Carpenter

Jenny’s research is centred around co-creating a mathematics ITE curriculum to enable student teachers to become effective enquirers of mathematics. She is interested in conducting autoethnographic action research from a tutor’s perspective.

Teaching and researching at YSJ is great because every student brings a different experience and viewpoint to what we understand learning is all about. Through critical discussions and supportive challenge, we learn together through dialogue and research so we all can be the best and most reflective teachers possible.

Jenny teaches professional studies and research mainly on primary postgraduate programmes. Her staff profile can be accessed here.
