Learning a new language is always a little daunting but studying at YSJ has really assuaged any of the fears I previously had. Our Korean classes are a great mix of speaking and writing and every activity we perform helps you gain more confidence as you go on. Support from lecturers and staff is easy to obtain whenever you need it and their positivity in learning is truly infectious!

All of the classes we take work in tandem with each other to give a better understanding of language and you may discover something about your own language production you never knew!

There is always something going on at the university and its so simple to get involved. Social engagement is really high amongst our students and its super easy to get help from everyone when you need it. We have a new Korean Culture society which will only grow from strength to strength in the coming semesters and everyone loves sharing their interests with each other.

The Japanese writer, Haruki Murakami, said “Learning another language is like becoming another person” and I don’t think there is a better place to start that journey than YSJ.
