Pros and Cons to using online resources

Hi everyone,

Today I thought I’d discuss the pros and cons of using online resources to support teaching and learning. For me it is one thing I do stress about, I love all the ideas on the internet but is it an easy way out?

Here are my discussion points as to why you may or may not use online resources:

HoP’s Highlights 1: second year adventures in space and time (and other dimensions!)

Hello. My Name is Peter Raymond and welcome to “HoPs Highlights” –  my part of the Primary Education blog at York St John University. What is a HoP? A Head of Programme,  as that is my role; Head of the BA (Hons) primary Education programme at YSJU. There is a saying that there is a first time for everything. In this case, for me, this is the first time I have ever blogged and I am hoping that this will become a regular part of the Primary Education blog, bringing you some of the highlights at various points through our year.

OFSTED: The pros and the cons

First of all, I’ll just start by saying that I am sorry that my uploads have been all over the place of late. With placement it’s been difficult for me to manage everything and get it all done for a deadline! After placement you can expect and article every fortnight, give or take a few days.

Preparing for placement…

SE1 was a daunting process full of its highs and lows. The great outcomes I received in my appraisals have really given me a boost of confidence for SE2.
Preparing for SE2 is a nerve-racking yet an exciting prospect. I believe the key to success of SE2 is organisation and passion.
