Launching into Literature Review – NVivo Project

Ok, so between the Christmas festivities and the celebration of a new year I launched myself into my literature review, I thought I would look at available stuff on Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS) on Discover over the last 5 years and found tons…limited search to include “NVivo” and results went from 585 to 174 alot more manageable.  After saving in Discover (so I can import into refworks later) I then thought it would be good to import PDFs into my NVivo project to code (so I am researching CAQDAS namely, NVivo and using it to code an interesting marriage!)

Of course, I am having to use NVivo on the virtual desktop and have managed to make my USB stick available and as soon as I click on it it highlights weirdly and goes v quiet.  So I have to upload to Dropbox (not a bad thing having a copy of articles in the cloud) then download into S: drive to enable me to import into NVivo project.

Oh what fun…watch this space for updates on coding of lit review articles in NVivo…
