Lunch and Learn: Non-binary Identities
On Tuesday 27 April, the LGBT Staff Network is hosting a lunch and learn session on non-binary identities. The session will take place from 1-2pm on Microsoft Teams.
The session will be facilitated by Sarah Hatfield, a YSJU MA student who is researching language and non-binary gender identities: Understanding and Changing negative attitudes toward singular ‘they/them’ pronouns.
We will also be hearing from two external guest speakers, Dr Sebastian Cordoba (Lecturer in Psychology, University of Suffolk) and Ynda Jas (founder of YSJU LGBT Staff Network) who will discuss their own research, followed by a Q&A.
This session will be an opportunity to hear about current research into language and non-binary inclusion, and will provide a space for staff and students to ask questions and to learn, share and reflect on our language and non-binary inclusion.
This event is open to all staff and students, please feel free to share this with your networks. It promises to be a fascinating session! Click here to join the meeting via Microsoft Teams.
