What is Clearing?
Clearing is another opportunity to secure a place at university. From 6 July – 20 October, you can apply for a course using Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places.
Who uses Clearing?
Clearing is open to UK and international students. It is a great opportunity if you:
- Achieved different grades than expected
- Would like to change course or university
- Missed the UCAS deadline for applications
- Would like to apply for deferred entry for 2021.
How does it work?
There is more guidance on this link: https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/results-confirmation-and-clearing/what-clearing
Basically, to apply through Clearing you need to follow theses steps:
1.) Ask for advice from your school or college, or speak to UCAS directly.
2.) See what courses are available through Clearing using the UCAS search tool
3.) Talk to any universities you are interested in – you may receive an offer over the phone!
4.) Add your Clearing choice on UCAS Track
