UCAS stands for the University and Colleges Application Service – it’s an online application site which many students use to apply to university.
DEADLINES
The deadline for applying depends on the course you apply for. You can apply after the deadline, but its not guaranteed your application will be considered.
If you’re applying to Oxford or Cambridge, or for most courses in medicine, dentistry or veterinary sciences the deadline is the 15th October 2020. You can add choices with a different deadline later, but don’t forget you have five choices in total.
For the majority of other courses the 15th January 2021 will be the deadline. The cut off time is usually 6pm on the deadline day.
You need to give yourself plenty of time to finish your application by this data, so start as soon as possible.
If you submit your application on time for the 15th January 2021, universities will respond with their decisions by the 6th May 2021.
If you receive all your decisions by the 31st March, you will need to respond by the 5th May.
If you receive all of your decisions by the 6th May, you will need to reply by the 3rd June.
If you receive all of your decisions by the 3rd June, you will need to reply by the 17th June.
