Welcome to our ECT webpages! At York St John University our ECT Strategy ensures that our Early Career Teachers are supported as they transition from student teacher into teaching employment.  Our commitment to you as a professional does not end when you leave university; working with all our ECTs their employing schools and wider partners, we will continue to support you in order to build a successful career in the teaching profession.

We keep in regular contact with all our ECTs through half termly bulletins and webinars and ensure that they are kept updated about CPD opportunities and resources.  We also offer pre-teaching support for those seeking employment and enhanced support for those in employment needing a more tailored approach.

Below you will find our ECT handbook and contact details.  Within the ECT tabs above you will find our most recent ECT bulletins, details of our webinars and many other useful resources. I really hope you’ll find these useful.
